Our natural fertility treatments help you be more fertile, have smoother pregnancies and healthier babies. For optimal fertility we suggest you begin at least 3 months before you desire to become pregnant. Our philosophy is an East meets West approach. We do this through a combination of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, nutrition, Low Level Laser, injection therapy, mind/body awareness, lifestyle counseling, and massage that is right for you. Once you’re pregnant we work to help you stay that way, and be comfortable. The goal is for you and your child to be as healthy as possible from conception through delivery. This approach is effective on its own and also works to support reproductive specialists.
Acupuncture for natural fertility
With acupuncture in the preconception phase the menstrual cycle becomes regulated. This balances hormones and increases circulation to the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. The treatments improve egg quality and vitality. This is especially important in older women and those with known fertility issues. Periods should become more regular, the flow should be bright red and without clots, minimal or cramping and less breast tenderness during this time. Stress is reduced, emotions are balanced and sleep is improved as a result. In Chinese medical terms, it’s a time to balance yin, yang, qi and blood. It’s a perfect time to improve blood flow to the uterus and ovaries by moving qi and blood.
Who can benefit
Women who would like to try a less invasive treatment, are young, with good ovarian reserve and with no structural causes of infertility are good candidates for imoroving fertility naturally. The often try acupuncture before attempting hormone therapies or in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Acupuncture can be used in conjunction with treatments done by your doctor or fertility specialist. Men can also benefit from a course of treatment prior to conception. If a couple is undergoing IVF or IUI, both partners should seek treatment on the day of ovulation or transfer.
How often should I get treatments for natural fertility?
We recommend treatments 1-3 times per week. Factors such as the complexity of the complaint, toxins from medications, hereditary influences, recurrent low level infections, lifestyle habits, and other illnesses can influence the length of treatment. We are covered by most insurance plans.
Study on optimising natural fertility
We had been trying for a year without success. I wasn’t sure what to try next but wasn’t quite ready to just straight to the fertility clinic. Lindsey advised me on the next steps. I got the tests I needed, had weekly acupuncture and changed my diet. We were pregnant within 2 months. I know the acupuncture helped ease my stress and allow the natural process to happen. Jenn, 34
