Turning a Breech Baby
Specific techniques can be done to encourage turning of a breech baby as well. The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics reported in the July/August 2002 issue an 82% success rate of babies turning vertex when doctors of chiropractic used the Webster Technique. We find this works best when combined with acupuncture.
The best time to begin this type of treatment is in the 8th trimester when the baby is first found to be breech. We recommend treatments in conjunction with our acupuncture for breech presentation sessions.
